Jason Robinson loves to bring electricity to the field with everything he does and will certainly be a great match with wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard. The four-star receiver and one-time USC commit is now the second member of Washington's class of 2024.

When asked why he chose to take an official visit to Washington, Robinson said, “Really just knowing they have all the tools and all the right people around that can get me to the next level,” referring to Shephard. "What he’s done with the receivers recently is incredible and that’s something I want to be a part of.”

Robinson chose the Huskies over 22 other offers from all over the country, including Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame and USC. He was scheduled to take an official visit to Utah at the end of August, but will most likely cancel that trip.

Even though this was Robinson's first trip to Washington, he grew up watching another speedy receiver from Long Beach play for the Huskies, John Ross. “That used to be my favorite receiver because I’m a [Cincinnati] Bengals fan,” he said. “That was my idol. He was fast. That was my biggest thing — if you can run a fast 40 as a kid, I thought you were automatically the best.”

Kalen DeBoer's offense is going to fit Robinson perfectly, who has the mindset to thrive wherever he's lined up. “Being able to be that leader that takes it in his hands to start the game up, get everybody riled up," he said about his play style. "It shows through my play. Going out there making a big play off the rip first play of the game. That’s really me — always been a big playmaker."

Robinson is the first person to announce his commitment from this slew of official visits, but he certainly won't be the last.
