In this story:

For the entirety of the 2000's, Adrian Wilson could be found roaming the secondary for the Arizona Cardinals. The three-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler is a member of the Cardinals' Ring of Honor and also spent eight years in their scouting department, rising as high as vice president of pro scouting in 2022.

Now, Wilson has taken on a new position with the Carolina Panthers as their vice president of player personnel, but his son is still busy patrolling the secondary in the state of Arizona. Santana Wilson is a four-star prospect at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale and is inching closer to a decision on where to play college football.

Santana recently released a list of his top nine schools, which includes Washington. Although the graphic says "Top 8" he later stated that he's also including North Carolina State on his list.

Not long before announcing his list of top schools, Wilson set up an official visit with Washington during its biggest recruiting weekend which begins on June 23. The four-star prospect is ranked as the 295th overall recruit in the country and would be a huge addition to the Huskies' recruiting class.

When watching his film, it doesn't take long to tell that Wilson is going to be a special player. He loves to play press coverage and is excellent when asked to flip his hips and match a receiver downfield.

His father recorded 27 interceptions at the NFL level and he certainly passed his ability to track the ball on to his son. Santana displays excellent eyes and tracking ability on film to go along with his high-level athleticism.

Washington's coaching staff is pushing hard to add reinforcements on the defensive side of the ball and Wilson could end up being one of the headliners of the class. However, it will not be easy to reel in the talented cornerback. He has also set up official visits with Arizona State and Texas in June as well and looks to be in the process of adding Tennessee to that list.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
