In this story:

Delontay "Uno" Williams has no high school game highlight video. No photos from the alma mater. No recruiting profile with the big sites.

What he has is a tall and rangy 14-year-old body that has the recruitniks dialed up into hyperbole-spouting frenzy, promising the world for this kid.

Williams just might be a special player someday, but his reputation is way out in front of him as this 2027 prospect prepares to enter Mount Miguel High School next fall in San Diego's Spring Valley neighborhood.

Taking no chances, however, Kalen DeBoer's coaching staff on Wednesday offered a scholarship to this recommended 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver, giving him his second option after San Jose State sent one his way in April.

So far Williams has only 7-on-7 event performances to sell himself and apparently he's doing a decent job of it, running past players and hauling down passes in a crowd.

"Trust the process," he wrote on Twitter. "If you can ball, they will find you."

Williams interestingly posted video of himself working out on a beach, catching one pass near the condos and another near the surf.

He'll report to a high school football program coming off a 4-7 record that answers to the Matadors and likely be part of the rebuild.

Williams' UW scholarship offer came from Husky receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard, who might be a college head coach somewhere else when 2027 rolls around.

This San Diego-area recruit has four high school seasons to play and no doubt a whole bunch of unbridled hype coming his way.
