Huskies Offer Utah JC Tight End Who Fits Their Requirements

In this story:
When Kalen DeBoer took over at the University of Washington, he and his staff had to combat the misnomer that the Husky tight end would become obsolete.
In fact, they wanted those who fill that position to be tall and athletic, and be ready to be a big part of the spread offense.
This has led them to Dallen Bentley, a 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end from two-year Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, who on Friday received a UW scholarship offer.
Need athletic? Just check out the back flip from this hulking guy in the Twitter video below.
After a great conversation with Coach Sheridan I'm thankful to say I've received an offer to play football at the University of Washington!#gohuskies pic.twitter.com/DqJwl9rPrQ

Bentley is a Utah native who not only brings those necessary physical attributes, he also has a certain amount of maturity that don't show up in this type of recruiting.
From Taylorsville, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Bentley has nine brothers and sisters, and he served a two-year Mormon mission in Denver, so he knows how to share.
On his LinkedIn profile, one where he lists himself as a garage-door installer, Bentley wrote the following: "I am one of 10 kids and have a desire to be able to provide for a big family myself."

An NFL career would help make that happen. To get that level, Bentley first has to demonstrate that he can handle the Power 5 level. Besides the UW, he also holds offers from Colorado, Louisville, New Mexico and San Diego State.
He comes off a second Snow College season in which he caught 8 passes for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns. He scored both times in a 50-49 overtime victory over Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, on 12- and 25-yard passes, with the second one coming in the extra session and preceding a deciding two-point conversion run.
