He plays high school football in the California city with the longest name, and, for that matter, he answers to one hardly lacking in letters and syllables.

LaRue Zamorano III from Rancho Santa Margarita.

Say that three times, really fast.

Zamorano is a promising 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback, a 2025 recruit, for Santa Margarita Catholic High, the same school.

This week, Kalen DeBoer's University of Washington coaching staff offered a scholarship to Zamorano, who hails from the same football program that supplied edge rusher Maurice Heims to the Huskies.

He also holds offers rom Oregon, Oregon State, UNLV, Connecticut and others.

Zamorano comes off a sophomore season for a 6-5 Eagles team that wasn't particular stat heavy with 10 tackles and no interceptions, but he established himself as corner who didn't get beat.

Analysts cite his combination of size, speed and physicality at such an early juncture of his football career as a forebear for greatness. The Lemming recruiting service even projects him as a future 5-star player.

He's got a catchy name in a Southern California city with its long label that's served as a launching pad for NBA great Klay Thompson, former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer and even "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

Maybe Zamorano one day will be that famous.
