Huskies Try to Kash in With Utah Edge Rusher, Make Offer

In this story:
College football recruiters usually head to Utah's Corner Canyon High School south of Salt Lake City to find a quarterback named Wilson, yet these days an edge rusher also has their full attention.
In Draper, a town of 50,000, Corner Canyon offers 6-foot-5, 220-pound Kash Dillon, a class of 2024 prospect and very active defender who holds 14 scholarship offers after receiving his latest one on Thursday morning from the University of Washington.
Dillon plays for the same high school that sent quarterback Zach Wilson to BYU and to the New York Jets with the second pick of the 2021 draft.
On Wednesday, Dillon's teammate and Wilson's little brother, Isaac, committed to Utah as a 2024 quarterback recruit, a development that naturally drew a lot of attention statewide.
After a great conversation with @Coach_SchmidtE, I’m grateful to have received an offer from the University of Washington. #GoHuskies @UW_Football @CCHSFOOTBALL_ @KjarEric @CODY_GARDNER @mjfrecruits @BlairAngulo @BrandonHuffman @ChadSimmons_ @adamgorney @ManoaPikula22 @kanuch78 pic.twitter.com/wH7Xw4xBdP

For the Huskies, Dillon could be a tough sell. He was offered by home state BYU way back in 2021 and he's kept up a steady conversation with the school. He's also taken unofficial visits to USC, Duke and TCU.
The attraction to this 3-star prospect is he makes a lot of things happen coming off the edge. Last season, he piled up 80 tackles, including 17 tackles for loss and 6 sacks, for an 11-3 Corner Canyon playoff team. He also caught a 12-yard touchdown pass as a tight end.
Of Dillon's 14 offers, eight of them are from Pac-12 football programs, including nearby Utah.
