Huskies Zero In on 2025 QB, Offer Laguna Beach Prospect

In this story:
The aim of Kalen DeBoer and his University of Washington coaching staff is to sign a quarterback every year. So far, they have Austin Mack arriving on campus next month after reclassifying and EJ Caminong committed for 2024, which leaves them now searching for someone two years down the line.
This very well could be Jackson Kollock, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound sophomore from Laguna Beach High School, located south of Los Angeles, and the Class of 2025.
On Wednesday, Kollock received a scholarship offer from the Huskies, who had people visiting his campus last week. UCLA, Washington State, Colorado State and Campbell also have bid for him.
After sitting out half of the season as a transfer, Kollock turned in a sensational closing sample of work, leading his Breakers on an eight-game win streak, four of them coming in playoff games, before losing to Granada Hills Charter 56-55.
He finished with 173 completions in 262 attempts for 2,202 yards for 32 touchdowns, with a paltry 3 interceptions. He also scored 5 rushing TDs.
"He's an exceptional kid with lots of competitiveness, capable of making any throw on the field," Laguna Beach coach John Shanahan told his online community news site, Stu News Laguna.

Laguna Beach traveled to Idaho to open up last fall and lost starting quarterback Sam Garwal to a season-ending shoulder injury and the game to Homedale 46-14 outside of Boise.
The Breakers could have used Kollock right then and there, but he had to sit out after transferring from Rancho Santa Margarita, where he played as a freshman.
Laguna Beach was 3-3 when Kollock was cleared to play.
Jackson Kollock had 10 touchdown passes in his first two games for Laguna Beach. He had one last night, on 4th-and-5 late in the first half to Brock Donaldson. This was it. Breakers beat Westminster 21-14. @Laguna_Football@TheDailyPilot @mjszabo pic.twitter.com/tUJ0Gwt1yU

A mobile, strong-armed kid, he completed 18 of 23 passes for 263 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 41-22 victory over Segerstrom, making for a sensational debut.
Kollock threw five more TDs in his second outing and did it twice more in the playoffs.
He's the oldest of six kids at home, which might explain his competitiveness, making him ready to play, if not inclined to move out someday soon. Maybe to Seattle.
