A large contingent of committed and targeted University of Washington football recruits — more than four dozen in all — were at Husky Stadium and saw Kalen DeBoer's team pull out a 36-33 victory over Oregon. By all accounts, the outcome and the electric atmosphere did a lot to benefit the Huskies in their pursuit of a number of prospects.

Among those on hand were quarterback Dermaricus Davis from Etiwanda High School and prospective wide receivers Jason Robinson Jr. from San Juan Hills and Justice Williams from Oaks Christian School, all Southern Californians who are orally committed to DeBoer's staff. All are 3- or 4-star recruits.

It was the first UW game Davis had attended after committing to the football program in late June following his official visit to the school. He was amazed at the huge crowd and the deafening stadium noise.

Davis, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound signal-caller from Rancho Cucamonga, not only was a visitor, he played the role of recruiter. He spent a large amount of time with fellow California quarterback Husan Longstreet, a 4-star player the 2025 class from Centennial High School in Corona, and someone who is ranked as the No. 4 overall signal-caller in next year's class by 247Sports.

"I believe it opened his eyes a lot seeing the best offense in college football," Davis said. "But I'm sure he has a lot of boxes he still needs to check since that was his first time up and he still has plenty of opportunities to choose from."

Longstreet, listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, holds offers from the UW, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Louisville and others..

More touted Southern Californians from the 2025 class who attended the UW-Oregon game were Phillip Bell, a 4-star wide receiver, and Dion Lee, a 4-star cornerback,  teammates from Mission Viejo High.

Robinson, the Husky commit from San Juan Hills, spent a decent amount of time speaking with Bell and Lee and felt the excitement of the game made a significant impact on their interest in the UW football program moving forward.

"One thousand percent," Robinson said when asked if Saturday's game proved attractive to the Mission Viejo pair and their recruitment. "I believe this game opened them up way more."

Bell, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound pass-catcher, is ranked as the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports. Lee, listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, ranks just above his teammate at No. 67 in next year's recruiting cycle.

Notable Washington state recruits from the 2025 class in game attendance were 3-star offensive tackle Demetri Manning from Bellevue High in Bellevue; 4-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel High in Spanaway, and 4-star athlete T'Andre Waverly, the state's No. 1 ranked prospect according to 247Sports, from Kamiak High in Mukilteo.
