Washington Attempts To Go Greene In 2026

In this story:
Every good team needs to build through the trenches. Washington is no exception to that and offensive-line coach Scott Huff has done an impressive job of building solid lines during his tenure in Seattle.
Now he needs to find a way to close on some of the best talent in the state of Washington. Extending an early offer to 2026 Eastside Catholic offensive tackle Kodi Greene is an effective way to do so.
The Huskies got an up-close and personal look at Greene at Friday's Top Dawg camp for the second time on Friday and decided to deliver the offer to him in person. Multiple members of the coaching staff were also in attendance when he won the overall MVP award at the AveryStrong Showcase at the University of Puget Sound.
Washington became the seventh school to offer him a scholarship, along with Arizona State, Cal, and Michigan among others.
After a great pre-camp meeting in @KalenDeBoer office, I’m excited to say that I’ve received an offer to my hometown school @UW_Football @BrandonHuffman @RealMG96 @GregBiggins @TheUCReport

Measuring in at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, Greene started at right tackle on Eastside Catholic's varsity team as a freshman and played well. Greene is a fluid mover for his size and is an advanced pass protector for his age.
In pass protection, Greene stands tall and strong against power moves while keeping his feet moving and keeping himself balanced. As he continues to add strength, he's going to be an top run blocker, too.
Greene is a future high-caliber recruit and the Huskies should have a good chance at keeping the local product at home.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
