Washington Is Back In the Mix For Four-Star LB Dylan Williams

In this story:
Long Beach Poly linebacker Dylan Williams released a list of his top seven schools on April 2, excluding Washington from the list. However, it appears Kalen DeBoer's coaching staff has continued to build a relationship with the 171st overall player in the 247 Sports Composite and has set up an official visit with him.
After missing out on in-state prospect Brayden Platt, the Huskies have set up official visits with a pair of the best linebackers in California. Williams' visit is scheduled to begin on June 16, as is fellow four-star linebacker Kamar Mothudi.
Washington is the fifth visit Williams has locked in and will be the fourth of five he takes over the summer. He visited UCLA in May, Michigan State and Oregon earlier in June, and will be finishing off the month with a trip to the University of Miami.

In terms of the 247 Composite, Williams is now the highest-rated visitor scheduled to take a trip to Montlake in June. Washington's coaching staff has put an emphasis on adding reinforcements to all levels of the defense in the class of 2024 and Williams could be a huge part of that.
Along with Mothudi and Williams, the Huskies have set up two other official visits with linebacker prospects. Four-star safety/linebacker hybrid Kingston Lopa and three-star linebacker Khmori House are both scheduled to take their official visits on June 23.
With Edefuan Ulofoshio and Ralen Goforth both in their final year of eligibility, co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach William Inge needs to add both depth and talent and has a major opportunity to do so. It feels that the Huskies are going to add at least two, if not three, linebackers in the class of 2024 and it appears they have a shot to land some of the best players at the position on the west coast.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
