The Husky coaching staff seems to be living by the mantra that speed kills.

In this story:

Speed defines cornerback Jamar Beal-Goines in multiple ways. He's a fast-rising prospect who just received his eighth scholarship offer from the University of Washington. He's also a track star at Desert Edge High School in Arizona.

That's not to be confused with Desert Ridge High, where Washington edge rusher Lance Holtzclaw played his high school ball. Beal-Goines is an impressive athlete who recently set a personal record with a 10.69 100-meter dash.

According to his Twitter page, he also took home third place at the AIA Arizona Open State Track Championship on May 13th. Now, scholarship offers are starting to roll in for the rising junior.

Listed at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Beal-Goines already has received offers from multiple Power 5 programs including Boston College, Arizona State, Kansas and Iowa State.

On film, he shows that he's a fluid mover who can flip his hips with ease and run with any receiver who lines up across from him. Beal-Goines possesses good ball skills and is also a very talented tackler who isn't afraid to take on bigger ball carriers.

He comes flying across the field with no fear and isn't afraid to lay a big hit. As he continues to grow as a player and improve his technique, he's going to be a very exciting player to watch.

Beal-Goines has future four-star recruit written all over him and, as he improves his footwork and physicality at the line of scrimmage, it looks like unlimited options for the young defender.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
