Having an in at California's St. John Bosco is always a good thing. Widely regarded as one of the best high school football programs in the country, Washington has always tried to develop a pipeline to the pride of Bellflower.

The Huskies have been able to manage to secure a few big recruiting wins from Bosco over the last handful of years, most notably cornerback and 2022 first round draft pick Trent McDuffie. Kalen DeBoer's staff has been pushing to get its foot in the door there rather quickly, and pulled three-star linebacker Devin Bryant from the school in his first full recruiting class.

After welcoming a large crowd of St. John Bosco coaches and players up for an unofficial visit during spring practice, the staff has begun to hand out some offers to some underclassmen. On Thursday, 2026 wide receiver Madden Williams received his offer from wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard.

Williams has already recorded offers from a number of Power 5 programs, including Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas and Arizona State. And from watching his film, it's clear to see why the coaching staff was willing to extend a scholarship to him so early in the recruiting process.

At 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, he's a fluid mover with a frame that can add a lot of weight. Williams is also an excellent hands catcher, and while he isn't incredibly crisp coming in and out of breaks just yet, he has the make-up of a future X receiver at the college level.

It appears the rising sophomore is also going to try to schedule an unofficial visit for some point over the summer. "I know for sure I should be going up to probably Oregon and Washington," he said to Fan Nation's Ducks Digest. "I think I'm going up to Ohio State, too. I'd like to go see Michigan, maybe Florida, Texas."

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
