In this story:

Husky fans have been in a bit of a panic since the de-commitments of EJ Caminong and Landon Bell from the class of 2024. With only one commit in the class, four-star offensive lineman Paki Finau, the coaching staff needs to secure a few commitments quickly.

With 21 official visitors set to visit over the week, or 22 if four-star defender Kingston Lopa, who recently committed to Oregon, still decides to take his visit, a lot of big names and top targets will be on campus.

During Washington's big visit week in 2022, Kalen DeBoer's staff was able to earn eight commitments over three days and signed 13 of the 21 prospects that visited over the week. DeBoer told reporters in the spring that he expects a similar result every summer while still expecting a few recruiting battles to continue into the fall.

Among the top targets that will be on campus are four-star defensive lineman Jericho Johnson, four-star wide receivers Emmett Mosley and Jason Robinson Jr., and three-star linebacker Khmori House.

The question now begs, how many commitments can the Huskies earn?

Sources have said a handful of commitments are imminent and could happen as soon as the prospects arrive on campus. Over the course of the week, as many as eight or 10 commits could happen. While they might not all announce right away, for better or worse, the coaching staff has focused on this timeframe and needs to find a way to secure some of its top targets pretty quickly.

If by next Monday the class of 2024 is seven or eight members strong, that's a big win for the staff. After building the 29th overall recruiting class in 2023, what can the Huskies do in 2024?

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
