In this story:

Andre Nickerson Jr. has a University of Washington football offer in hand, as of Thursday, and he just might turn out to be one of the toughest guys Kalen DeBoer's staff will attempt to sign.

At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, this big Southern California kid is a well-built tight end from Junipero Serra High School in suburban Gardena who's capable of making acrobatic catches and running over and away from people.

Nickerson also is a multi-tool basketball player, a guy with a soft left-handed jumper, plenty of quickness inside to swat shots away as an intimidator and an assortment of ball-handling skills that effectively get him to the basket.

There's more.

A first baseman, he has a sweet left-handed swing made for power that surely won't go unnoticed by baseball scouts canvassing the area.

Oh yeah, Nickerson, who hails from the recruiting Class of 2026, posted how he was just 14 in late November, and we've been unable to determine whether or not he's celebrated another birthday.

Either way, he's just a babe in arms. He's a young teen with seemingly unlimited sporting options who might keep people guessing for some time on his course of action.

For now, Nickerson holds football scholarship offers from Washington and UNLV.  No surprise, he also plays on the defensive line.

Andre Nickerson, file that name away. It's bound to come up again.
