JJ Wetherholt Invited to Team USA Baseball Training Camp

Morgantown, West Virginia is home to the best hitter in all of college baseball, JJ Wetherholt.
Wetherholt has had a phenomenal season to this point and because of his rapid rise, he has been invited to participate at USA Baseball's training camp this summer. USA Baseball will invite 50 players to play in a Stars vs Stripes five-game intrasquad series to help determine a 26-man roster for international play in the college-level age group.
The players invited to training camp are considered to be the best players in college baseball who are not yet eligible for the MLB Draft.

Wetherholt leads the Big 12 in batting average (.470), OPS (1.366), runs (62), hits (85), and slugging (.834). He ranks second in doubles (20) and total bases (151) and is third in RBI (54).
West Virginia begins its three-game series this evening against Texas Tech. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. EST at Mon. Co. Ballpark.
