West Virginia could have had the Big 12 Conference regular season title all to themselves but dropped three straight games to the Texas Longhorns, resulting in a three-way tie atop the league between WVU, Texas, and Oklahoma State.

Although they would much rather have sole possession of the trophy, having a piece of it is still a big-time accomplishment for the program. Randy Mazey has done a terrific job of building this program into a winner and winning a Big 12 title was the next step the Mountaineers needed to take. 

And for those who have been asking -- yes, Big 12 title gear is now officially for sale at WVUSports.com.

West Virginia will enter the Big 12 Conference tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play No. 6 Texas Tech on Wednesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. EST, streaming on ESPN+. The winner will move on to play the winner of No. 2 Oklahoma State and No. 7. Oklahoma.
