There's a lot of attention regarding the WVU men's basketball program and the transfer portal and rightfully so. But WVU skipper Randy Mazey is quietly putting together a nice transfer portal class himself.

On Monday, West Virginia received a commitment from veteran right-handed pitcher Hambleton Oliver, who is transferring in from Baylor.

The addition of Oliver helps replace the void left behind by Noah Short, who had been Mazey's go-to option out of the pen the last couple of seasons.

Oliver appeared in 24 games this past season, pitching to the tune of a 4.13 ERA. He struck out 37 batters and walked 23 in 39.2 innings of work, converting five save opportunities.

Oliver will have one year of eligibility remaining.
