Maryland finished fifth in the Big 10 Conference with an 11-9 league record.

Maryland has three wins over current ranked opponents. The Terrapins beat an unranked Miami team in November, but Miami made a run in ACC play to climb to No. 14 by seasons end. 

The Terrapins faced Big Ten Conference foes Indiana and Purdue twice during the regular season and split the season series, winning both games at home. 

Maryland beat Minnesota in the second round of the Big 10 tournament but fell to Indiana in the quarterfinals.
