What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU vs. Jacksonville State

The Mountaineers should get back on track Tuesday night.

Last Friday night, the West Virginia Mountaineers lost a buy game to Monmouth, a game in which they were favored to win by double digits.

Nothing went right for WVU as they shot a measly 31% from the field and 21% from three point range. Jesse Edwards was the lone bright spot going for 16 points and 13 rebounds. On top of the offensive issues the Mountaineers were having, they had three players in foul trouble which makes things extremely difficult for head coach Josh Eilert who already has a short bench. In order for WVU to get back on track tonight, they have to play the way they did in the second half of the Missouri State game - take care of the ball, make shots, and play clean defense.

After taking down Brescia of the NAIA level, Jacksonville State fell to Utah Tech, 81-79 in overtime.

According to the ESPN BPI, West Virginia has an 87.8% chance to get back on track with a win while Jacksonville State has a 12.2% chance to pull off the upset.

The Mountaineers and Gamecocks are set to tip things off at 7 p.m. EST.
