ESPN's Latest Bracketology Projection for West Virginia

West Virginia is safely in the field following a 24-win campaign.

It was a successful first year for Mark Kellogg as the women's head basketball coach at West Virginia University and come tomorrow night, the Mountaineers will have their NCAA Tournament ticket punched.

WVU finished the 2023-24 regular season with a 24-7 (12-6) record, finishing in a three-way tie with Baylor and Iowa State for fourth place in the Big 12 Conference. Five of West Virginia's seven losses came by single digits and five also came against AP Top 25 opponents.

According to ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme, West Virginia is projected to be a No. 6 seed in the "Portland 4" region, playing its first round game in Raleigh, North Carolina.
