Stevenson Earns Big 12 Weekly Honors

West Virginia guard Erik Stevenson sweeps Big 12 weekly honors

West Virginia guard Erik Stevenson was named Big 12 Player of the Week and Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on Monday.

The senior had a game-high 27 points in the win over No. 11 K-State on Senior Day and finished with 23 points in the road win at Iowa State earlier in the week, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range.

In the last five games of the regular season, the Lacy, Washington, native averaged 24.6 points per game.

Stevenson and the Mountaineers will meet the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the first round Big 12 Conference tournament Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. EST.
