BREAKING: West Virginia Lands EMU Transfer Noah Farrakhan

West Virginia adds another through the portal.

Thursday evening, the West Virginia men's basketball team picked up a late addition for the 2023-24 season landing Eastern Michigan transfer guard Noah Farrakhan.

Farrakhan (6'2", 170 lbs) began his career at East Carolina, appearing in just twelve games before moving on to Eastern Michigan. As a redshirt freshman in 2021-22, Farrakhan led the team in scoring putting up 16.6 points per game and finished the year second all-time in freshman scoring with 432 points.

This past season, the Hillsdale, New Jersey native averaged 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.7 steals per game while shooting 43% from the field, 24% from three, and 75% at the free throw line. Although it was a down year beyond the arc, Farrakhan does have the ability to make threes consistently, sinking 62 of his 185 career attempts (34%).

Coming out of The Patrick School, Farrakhan was considered a three-star recruit and held offers from Florida, Iona, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi State, New Mexico, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John's, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and several others.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
