ORLANDO - The West Virginia Mountaineers (7-12, 2-4) drop their third consecutive Big 12 Conference road game after falling to the UFC Knights (12-6, 3-3) Tuesday night. UFC guard Jaylin Sellars led all scorers with 18 points and West Virginia forward led the Mountaineers with 15. 

UCF guard Jaylin Sellers began the game with a three, sparking an 8-0 run for the early advantage. 

West Virginia cut the deficit to three, but the Mountaineers started the game shooting 3-15 from the field while Sellers hit three threes for a 19-7 UCF lead midway through the first half.

The Mountaineers committed seven first half turnovers coming from 6 UCF steals, leading to 13 fastbreak as the Knights held a 37-24 lead at halftime. 

UCF extended its lead to 21 midway through the second half, then Josiah Harris buried three threes and guard Noah Farrakhan followed with a jumper and a foul along the baseline to get the Mountaineers within 11 with just over four minutes remaining in the game. 

Two empty trips for the Mountaineers allowed UCF to extend the lead back to 13, then guard Seth Wilson hit a straightaway three to get cut the deficit to ten, 66-56. However, the Knights finished the game from the free throw line to maintain their advantage and take the 72-59 victory.
