What Bob Huggins Said Following the Loss to TCU

In this story:
What he was most upset with
"We didn't come out with a lot of enthusiasm. I was extremely upset with us in the first ten minutes of the game. Just our lack of energy, our lack of competitiveness. Tried to come in and talk to 'em about it certainly at halftime and I thought it was better, but you put yourself in a hole and then every little thing becomes probably way more important than what it really is. It's nothing to do with officiating or anything else. We just put ourselves in a bad, bad position. We just couldn't fight our way out of it and seemingly when we did cut it out, we got people standing there staring at the ball and they back cut us and shot layups. We worked on that. We talked about that. We showed that on film and we just didn't adjust to it."
Allowing 48 points in the paint
"Which is absurd. Totally absurd for the guys that we have. And then I think what happened is you got guys making excuses and that kind of thing. And the guys who are supposed to be our leaders did not lead. So, we may have to find ourselves some new leaders. You can't have your leaders pouting because they made mistakes. It's their fault. It's not anybody else's fault. And that's guys that have been here for a long time. They're the guys that are supposed to come out here jacked up ready to play. This is it for them. They're done after this year. They just didn't give us the enthusiasm and the competitiveness and toughness that they generally do."
More on lack of competitiveness
"They beat us down the floor a few times because we jogged down the floor and that was a huge, huge thing that we talked about, we worked about. We ran drills for it. And then you come out in the game and just jog down the floor and people run by you for layups. We're not going to win."
