Are Three PAC 12 Schools Considering the Big 12?

The Big 12 Conference is well on its way to shaking up the Power Five as we know it all by themselves. Last week, the league welcomed the return of Colorado and now, there's a strong belief that Arizona will be the next PAC 12 school to make the same jump.

But they're not alone. According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, two other PAC 12 institutions may make the same decision as Arizona.

"Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah -- the Pac-12's remaining three of the so-called Four Corner schools -- are expected to lump their futures together.

"As another industry source pointed out: "I don't see any of them having the fortitude to break up the Pac-12 themselves. They'll break as three. It's either going to be all three leave, or none leave."

This morning, the Arizona Board of Regents has a newly scheduled meeting with the topic being unknown. Considering this wasn't previously on the docket, I think we can all assume this is regarding a potential move to the Big 12. If Arizona does announce their intentions to leave for the Big 12 and the other two follow suit, that would bring the league to 16 members once they all officially make the transition.
