2023 Iron Mountaineer Award Winners

The 2023 Iron Mountaineer Award winners were announced during the annual gold and blue spring game Saturday afternoon

Morgantown, WV - The West Virginia strength and conditioning coaching staff announced redshirt junior BANDIT Jared Bartlett, redshirt junior running back Tony Mathis Jr., senior offensive lineman Doug Nester and redshirt senior safety Marcus Floyd as the 2023 Iron Mountaineer Award winners during the annual gold and blue spring game Saturday afternoon, which is presented to the most outstanding performers in WVU’s offseason strength and conditioning program.

The winners of the Iron Mountaineer Award tested the best at the conclusion of winter workouts, measuring in the broad jump, vertical jump, bench, squat, power clean lift, 225-bench, 40-yard spring, pro shuttle, three cone, 60-yard shuttle and the 10/20-yard sprint. The winners are selected from three groups: FB/TE/LB/SP, QB/RB/WR/DB and OL/DL.
