2023 Preseason USA Today Coaches Poll

Monday afternoon, The USA TODAY Sports AFCA football coaches poll was released with the defending national champions the Georgia Bulldogs taking the top spot, followed by Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State and LSU to round out the top five.

West Virginia will face four programs ranked within the preseason top 25 starting with the season opener at No. 7 Penn State, then 24th-ranked Texas Tech on Sept. 23, at No. 16 TCU Sept. 30, and at Oklahoma Nov. 11.
