CJ Cole Earns Tommy Nickolich Memorial Award
Morgantown, WV - West Virginia University receiver CJ Cole was announced the 2023 Tommy Nickolich Memorial Award, presented by Blue & Gold News.
The recipient of the Nickolich Award goes to the walk-on team member who has distinguished himself through his attitude and work ethic, and is presented in memory of Tommy Nickolich, a former WVU player who suited up for the Mountaineers during the 1979-82 seasons before he passed away of cancer in 1983.
Cole is in his third season with the Mountaineers. He appeared in nine games last season, seeing most of his action on special teams, but appeared in a career-high 11 snaps in the season finale at Oklahoma State last year.
