Norman, OK - The No. 17 Oklahoma Sooners (8-2, 5-2) produced 644 yards of total offense in a rout of the West Virginia Mountaineers (6-4, 4-3) Saturday night 59-20.

West Virginia drove its opening possession 75 yards for the touchdown, highlighted by a 32-yard reception from Garrett Greene to Devin Carter for 32 yards and capped off with a 13-yard touchdown run. 

Oklahoma answered on its initial drive of the game. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel escaped the clutches of safety Marcis Floyd before finding tight end Austin Stogner down the left sideline for 23 yards. On the following play, Gavin Sawchuk broke through the middle for 30 yards, and Gabriel finished the drive with a two-yard touchdown drive, beginning a stretch of 31 unanswered points. 

West Virginia had an opportunity to tie the game at 14 after the Sooners muffed the punt and the Mountaineers recovered at the OU 33-yard line but the Oklahoma defense held WVU to its third consecutive three and out and Michael Hayes missed a 48-yard field goal. 

The Mountaineers cut the Sooners lead to 17 in the final second of the half. After the West Virginia defense forced Oklahoma to its first punt of the game, Garrett Greene found Devin Carter over the middle for 28 yards and two pass interference penalties set up West Virginia at the OU three-yard line. West Virginia capitalized with a three-yard touchdown pass to Kole Taylor as the Sooners held a 31-14 lead heading into halftime. 

Oklahoma racked up 371 yards of total offense in the first half. Dillon Gabriel was 13-22 for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns while rushing for 33 yards and two touchdowns, and Gavin Sawchuk put up 107 yards on the ground. 

It took the Sooners offense just four plays to score in the opening possession of the second half, and it was receiver Drake Stoops carrying a pair of West Virginia defenders into the endzone on a 60-yard touchdown reception to extend the Oklahoma lead, 38-14. 

West Virginia answered on its first possession of the second half. Following Preston Fox's kickoff return to the WVU 39, the Mountaineers marched down the field, with the drive kept alive by Garrett Greene spinning out of the pocket for a 15-yard run. Then on third and goal from the seven, Greene hit Carter over the middle for the touchdown. The Mountaineers went for the two-point conversion, but Fox dropped the pass and the Sooners led 30-28. 

Oklahoma added to its lead after an interception by safety Reggie Pearson placed the Sooners at the Mountaineer 43-yard line. Drake Stoop hauled in a pair of receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown for a 45-20 advantage. 

The Sooners offense continued to pour it on to start the fourth quarter, marching 81 yards and the touchdown for a 52-20 lead. 

Dillion Gabriel scored his eighth touchdown of the night with just under eight minutes remaining in the game after running into the endzone from five yards out to take a 59-20 lead and the final score. Gabriel finished the night with 423 yards and five touchdowns while rushing 50 yards and three scores.
