On Friday, West Virginia defensive back Caleb Coleman announced on social media he will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

"First off I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play football as the collegiate level. Second, I want to thank my family for helping me through this process. I would also like to thank coach Neal Brown, Coach Mike and the rest of the WVU football staff for developing me as a player. My relationship with those I met throughout my time at WVU will last forever and I appreciate each and everyone involved. With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left."

Coleman made nine appearances in the last two seasons, primarily on special teams and recorded four tackles, including a tackle for a loss.

The redshirt sophomore is the third Mountaineer this week to enter the transfer portal. Defensive back Jaylon Shelton and linebacker Aric Burton left the football program and entered the portal this week.
