Geno Smith Makes Second Straight Pro Bowl

The former Mountaineer QB is recognized as one of the game's best.

The NFL finalized the rosters for this year's Pro Bowl on Tuesday and former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith made the NFC roster, filling in as a replacement for Rams QB Matthew Stafford.

This marks the second straight Pro Bowl appearance for Smith, who put up career numbers a year ago in his first chance at being a starting quarterback in a long, long time. Smith won the Comeback Player of the Year Award from the Associated Press and the PFWA while also winning the PFWA's Most Improved Player Award.

This season, Smith saw a slight dip in his overall numbers but still threw for 3.624 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 64.7% of his pass attempts.

The Pro Bowl Skills Showdown will take place on Thursday, February 1st at 7 p.m. EST with the flag football game to follow on Sunday, February 4th at 3 p.m. EST.
