Victor Scott is Tearing It Up in the Minor Leagues

Victor Scott II had the opportunity to return to West Virginia but after being selected in the fifth round of the 2022 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals, he opted to sign and forgo his final two years of eligibility.
So far, it seems like he made the right decision.
Scott received roughly 100 at-bats last season in rookie ball and flashed his potential with two homers, 12 RBI, four doubles, four triples, 13 stolen bases, and an OBP (on-base percentage) of .358. I'm sure he would have liked for his batting average (.222) to be a little higher but for his first taste of pro ball, he performed well.
Now in his first full year in the minors, Scott is turning heads. He leads ALL of minor league baseball with 31 steals and has only been thrown out on two occasions. His speed isn't just a weapon on the basepaths, but also in centerfield where he has made a number of incredible plays including robbing a grand slam earlier in the year.

Scott II is also doing some really good things with the bat this season hitting at a .276 clip with a pair of homers, 18 RBI, six two-baggers, and five triples. His OBP has remained steady at .357 which shows that he has a good approach at the plate and is drawing walks.
Scott is currently ranked the 27th-best prospect in the Cardinals organization but if he keeps this pace up, he won't be with High-A Peoria for long.
