2022 Athlete Puts WVU in Top 8, Gives Decision Timeline

Monday evening, class of 2020 athlete Treyveon Longmire (6'2", 170 lbs) of Corbin, Kentucky released his top eight schools.
West Virginia made the cut alongside Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Michigan, and Ole Miss. Longmire has been in contact with West Virginia for quite some time and it's the relationship with the Mountaineer coaching staff that has been so influential in his interest in the program.
"I think they are going to be a top team in the conference. Coaches do a good job and have a good culture there. I like Coach [Chad] Scott and [Gerad] Parker a lot from talking with them. We text a lot, but I talk to them on the phone every couple of weeks. Both of them are good guys and just easy to talk to - I like the plan they have for me."
Longmire tells Mountaineer Maven that he has already visited Kentucky and Louisville and that he is hopeful that he will have the opportunity to visit West Virginia and the other schools in his top eight but that will of course depend on the status of the pandemic.
As for a timeline on a decision, Longmire says that it will likely be sometime in the fall before his senior season is over.
