Class of 2025 quarterback Ennio "EJ" Yapoor (5'10", 225 lbs) of Norland High School in Miami, Florida was on hand for the WVU spring game last month and recapped his visit with Mountaineers Now.

"The WVU visit was great. I really enjoyed visiting the facilities and meeting some of the coaches. The game was also great to see," Yapoor said. "The conversation I had with the coaches was amazing. We talked about the facilities, the type of culture they carry, and the expectations they have of all players. It felt like a good vibe - definitely, an environment I would surround myself with."

Being that Yapoor is only a sophomore, it's still in the early stages of his recruitment. He doesn't yet hold an offer from West Virginia but it's definitely something he's working toward.

"The WVU program is definitely a primer one. I loved every aspect of my visit. I can see myself excelling academically and athletically. I can definitely see myself attending WVU in the future."

Schools that have offered the Florida dual-threat quarterback are Akron, Colorado, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Jackson State, Ole Miss, Toledo, Western Michigan, and a few others.

"Right now, I am grateful for all the schools that are showing interest in me. I can’t say that one stands out more than the other. I’m just grateful for them all. My focus though is this upcoming season and making sure I lead my team to a state championship."

As for what's next with West Virginia? Yapoor wants to continue to build a relationship with the staff and take another trip back to Morgantown sometime soon.

"I would love to return and visit and even do some camps in the near future. Right now I’m mainly focused on this season and leading my team. Maybe by this time next year, I will focus on making a decision before the season starts."
