Class of 2024 offensive lineman Kyle Altuner (6'4", 295 lbs) of Good Counsel HS in Olney, Maryland made the trip to Morgantown last weekend for an official visit. Shortly after heading home, Altuner caught up with Mountaineers Now to recap how things went.

"Overall, the visit was extraordinary," Altuner stated. "Some of my biggest takeaways were how great their strength program was and how well I bonded with Coach Moore and Coach Brown's families.

"I loved how family-oriented both coaches were to the point where I bonded with each of their families and felt a part of them. Outside of football, I really liked talking with and being around the offensive line guys. The apartment and living conditions were great and they are extremely close to a giant lake, which is pretty cool."

Altuner does have positional flexibility having played both tackle spots, center, and a little bit of guard. With Zach Frazier set to depart for the NFL in the next year or two, Altuner makes the most sense for West Virginia at center. He's extremely physical in the run game, plays heavy-handed, and with good pad level. It's easy to see why so many Power Five schools are in on him.

In addition to WVU, Altuner also holds offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Florida State, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Tennessee, Toledo, and Virginia.

WVU is considered to be one of Altuner's top choices at the moment. There is no timetable for a decision.
