West Virginia was the first Power Five school to offer 2024 Charlotte, NC safety KJ Flowe (6'0", 170 lbs) and over the weekend, he got to spend time in Morgantown with the coaching staff to learn more about the program during an official visit.

"Everything was GREAT!  I really love everything," Flowe told Mountaineers Now. "The coaching staff, the people in Morgantown, and the team there. They just bond differently. It’s just like a brotherhood how they all welcome each other!

"One of my favorite parts was getting to know all the other recruits & building bonds. And I’m glad I had my boy Sean Boyle as my host since he’s from the same city as me. We played on the same 7-on-7 team before he went to college so we knew each other. But over the weekend we just got closer and I was with him every night and he showed me around, so I had a great time!"

Boyle is a freshman quarterback who played his high school ball at Charlotte Catholic and the two have more than just their hometown in common - they were both overlooked. Boyle's only other P5 offer came from Rutgers whereas Flowe has just one other P5 offer at the moment, Virginia Tech.

But don't let that fool you. This kid is talented and is more than capable of being a high level player at the next level. Being the first major school to offer is something that will hold a little extra weigh when it's time to make a decision.

"They took a chance on me, so I can take a chance on them maybe," Flowe said. "They are on top of the throne. I feel like I can be a really good safety for them or wherever they want me to be."

Flowe also informed us that he plans to make his decision on July 24th.

He also holds offers from Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Georgia State, James Madison, Jackson State, Liberty, Marshall, Old Dominion, UNLV, and as previously mentioned, Virginia Tech.
