Best Loadout for Vondel & Ashika Island in Warzone
Warzone’s Resurgence mode is much more fast-paced than the original battle royale experience. This means that you’ll be engaging in a lot more gunfights than usual, and need to always be on the move. Resurgence features smaller parts of the Urzikstan Warzone map, along with some fan-favorite maps, Vondel and Ashika Island in the Resurgence map rotation. Resurgence is preferred by many Warzone players due to its faster game time and higher frequency of gunfights, so here’s the best loadout you need for the game mode.
Best Resurgence Loadout

With Resurgence games featuring many more engagements than normal battle royale, many players will want to use a great Assault Rifle paired with a dominant SMG. This combination is perfect for Resurgence as it allows you to dominate at medium ranges, but also be effective up close due to the smaller size of the map. Both Ashika Island and Vondel also feature several buildings that cater for close-quarters engagements. This means that we’ll be using some different Perks to the usual Urzikstan loadouts.
In this loadout, we’re using the BAS-B Assault Rifle and the WSP Swarm SMG. The WSP Swarm SMG has been the best Submachine Gun in Warzone since release and continues to dominate both Urzikstan and the Resurgence modes. The BAS-B was recently hit with a nerf, and many players have switched away from it. However, in-game stats show that the BAS-B is still the best Assault Rifle in Warzone, especially for medium-range gunfights.

- Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x
- Barrel: Bruen Venom Long Barrel
- Muzzle: VT-7 Spitfire Suppressor
- Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
This BAS-B loadout has minimal recoil and extremely great damage range, making it the best option for Ashika Island and Vodel Resurgence. The Bruen Venom Long Barrel and VT-7 Spitfire Suppressor both improve the bullet velocity and damage range, while the Bruen Heavy Support Grip helps to keep the recoil under control. If you’re looking to run this loadout without an Optic, you can use the No Stock attachment instead to gain some extra mobility.

The WSP Swarm continues to dominate in Warzone, and this loadout is undoubtedly the best SMG in the game. Firstly, the Bruen Cubic Comp Muzzle and FSS Fortress Heavy Stock both increase handling and recoil control. The Bruen Heavy Support Grip further increases recoil control, and the 50 round mag is essential for taking down multiple enemies in Resurgence.
Best Perks for Warzone Resurgence
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Hardened
- Perk 3: Tracker
- Perk 4: High Alert
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
When playing Resurgence in Warzone, we like to use Double Time and Hardened as our first two Perks. Double Time increases your Tac Sprint duration, allowing you to get around the map much faster, while Hardened will reduce the impact of any incoming tactical equipment. For Perk 3, we use Tracker as this will show a footprint trail of your enemies, allowing you to hunt them down much easier. Finally, we use High Alert as this will notify you when an enemy is looking in your direction, allowing you to always be ready to engage.
Equipment can be chosen as a personal preference, however we like to use the Semtex and Stun Grenade as these allow you to clear buildings easily and also finish off downed enemies. This is essential for Resurgence due to the large number of close quarters areas on these smaller maps.
