The Minnesota RØkkr was one of the surprise teams, getting the first seed after a strong showing the past two weekends. The new MW2 updates will continue to make things interesting as they are set to take on the Challengers, Decimate Gaming. The Los Angeles Guerrillas had a rough few matches at the start of the CDL year but will look to take down the hot and cold New York Subliners. Expect to see RØkkr make a deep run in this group.

Group B

Another surprise team was the Toronto Ultra, who landed the second seed and will lead the way for Group B. They will take on the Challengers Pollodrom, who looked strong in the Challenger Qualifiers. OpTic Texas should have its way with the struggling Florida Mutineers, but OpTic is not without its share of struggles. They should glide smoothly through their matches, but this group will be one to keep your eye on.

Group C

Here's a group filled with talent and potential and highlighted by Atlanta FaZe. While they had a few rocky showings the past two weekends, they should be able to make it out of group play if they can keep it together and play as a unit. London Royal Ravens will be a team to keep your eye on, specifically Asim, who has been playing strong and should carry them through the rounds.

Group D

If you're looking for a group that is full of talent, here it is. The headliner will be the defending champs, Los Angeles Thieves, who have struggled to flash early on in the new Modern Warfare 2 game. Lucky for them, they get arguably the worst team in the Call of Duty League, the Vegas Legion. They should skate by easily to take on the Boston Breach, who get the Challengers Elevate in the first round. The Thieves and Breach match in the second round should give us plenty to recap after the weekend.
