The biggest surprise from Stage 5 has been the struggling performance of the Thieves. They've failed to win a match and are on the brink of starting Major 5 in the Losers Bracket. They took losses to two respectable teams (Ultra and Subliners), but the loss to the Mutineers is worrisome. They should still be considered one of the best teams in the CDL, but they're getting cold at the worst possible time. They have two struggling teams to close out their Qualifier matches (Røkkr and Royal Ravens), which should get them back on track to hopefully make it to the Winners Bracket.

The two teams to watch are the Legion and the Røkkr. One win separates these two from making it to Champs with the last seed. After the Legion won the match last weekend, they have one last game against the Surge to close out their Qualifier matchups, while the Røkkr has two tough games this upcoming weekend, taking on Ultra and the Thieves. The two closely seeded teams could end up tied for the No.8 seed, or the Røkkr could go up by multiple games.

The other pair that could swap seeds are the Breach and the Surge, who are separated by 10 points in the No.6 and 7 seeds. The Surge emerged victorious against the Breach last weekend, winning 3-1 in tightly contested matches in all four rounds. They have the Subliners and the Legion up next, with the Breach taking on FaZe and the Subliners. Each of those games has major implications and won't be easy tests for both teams.

With a ton of meaning behind each game in the schedule for the conclusion of Stage 5, players and fans will be on the edge of their seats, waiting to see where their teams will land for Major 5. The final weekend of the regular season is going to be electric.
