How to Defeat Hisuian Typhlosion Raid in Pokémon GO

  • The Hisuian Typhlosion Raid in Pokémon GO begins Sunday, January 14th at 3 PM local time and ends at 5 PM local time.
  • Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon and is weak to Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock, and Water.
  • Players will have a 1 in 10 chance of encountering a Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion during the raid event in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO is preparing for an exploration and celebration of the Sinnoh region in its Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh. But before that, it’s giving players the chance to catch some familiar faces from Sinnoh’s past and it’s starting with Hisuian Typhlosion in what it’s calling Timeless Travels.

On Sunday, January 14th, Pokémon GO players will have a small, limited-time window to battle and capture Hisuian Typhlosion in raids. The event starts at 2 PM local time and ends at 5 PM local time. So players will only have 3 hours to team up with their friends and add Hisuian Typhlosion to their collection.

Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Event Details

On January 14th from 2 PM local time to 5 PM local team Hisuian Typhlosion has an increased chance to appear in Pokémon GO raids and an increased chance of appearing as a shiny variant. The chance of encountering a shiny Hisuian Typhlosion in Pokémon GO is 1 in 10 during the three-hour raid window.

Players will also be able to obtain an additional 5 daily Raid Passes from spinning discs at Gyms. The Remote Raid Pass limit will also be increased to 20 from January 13th, 4 PM PST to January 14th, 7 PM PST.

There will also be a ticket available for US$5 which will reward players with the following bonuses from January 14th, 2 PM to 10 PM local time.

  • 8 more additional Raid Passes from spinning gym photo discs.
  • 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
  • Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles.
  • 2x Stardust from Raid Battles.

Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Stats

If you have an appropriately leveled raid counter, Hisuian Typhlosion is a soloable raid in Pokémon GO, but teaming up with your friends and other players will always increase your chances of defeating and capturing a raid Pokémon.

On average, most players who prepare properly ahead of time should be able to complete at least 10 to 15 raids during the three-hour window.
