Pokémon World Championship

With the World Championship just around the corner, it makes sense that this was the first topic presented. Paradise Resort, a brand new promo card announced with the following effect “The Retreat Cost of each Psyduck in play (both yours and your opponent’s) is [colorless energy] less” and a beautiful art showing Lapras, Pikachu, and the Paldean starters.

The promo card was the only news regarding the Pokémon World Championship so for the remainder of this section TPC focused on the exclusive commemorative merchandise as well as city attractions occurring throughout the competition such as photo ops and the Pokémon Trainer Cruise. Pokémon Path to the Peak

The first real surprise of this Pokémon Presents came in the form of a brand-new short animated series that focuses on the TCG aspect of the franchise. This story follows Ava who discovers her natural talent alongside her partner Pokémon Oddish. With the support of family, community, and new-found friends she sets her goal to rise to the very top.

The announcement was followed by a trailer of the show as well as the global release date of August 11, the series will be available on the official Pokémon Youtube channel.

Detective Pikachu Returns (Switch)

Fans got to see more details of the new Switch game Detective Pikachu Returns. We got introduced to the characters of the game as well as a brief idea of how the gameplay will look and work.

Detective Pikachu Returns will follow the story of Detective Pikachu alongside his new partner Tim, the duo will investigate multiple Pokémon cases with the help of other Pokémon while also following the “main story quest” of trying to find the location of Tim’s missing father and ex-crime-fighting partner Harry.

The game will be released on October 6th but is already available for preordering on the official Switch shop as well as participating retailers and online stores.

Pokémon GO

TPC listed the dates and locations of all 2023 Pokémon GO Fests as well as the Global edition of the event. The other big news for Pokémon GO fans is the introduction of Paldean Pokémon, beginning September players will be able to find, capture, and battle with Generation 9 Pokémon.

Pokémon United

United fans were showered with news related to the second anniversary of the game such as Panic Parade, a new game mode where players must protect Tinkaton from an onslaught of wild Pokémon. Although already previously announce Mewtwo was also showcased with both its X and Y mega-evolution forms.

Other minor news, in-game events, and information about the available battle passes can be found in-game.

Pokémon Masters EX

The fourth anniversary of Pokémon Masters EX is coming so fans can expect a wave of news soon. For now, TPC announced the introduction of a new sync pair, Nemona & Pawmot - the pair is already available in-game for all EX players. Victor & Spectrier is another pair which was announced on this edition of Pokémon Presents. Both Victor and Nemona will have their own events as it is usual with newly released characters.

Pokémon Café Remix

Café Remix was briefly showcased as Tatsugiri was announced as an available Pokémon, players will only be able to acquire one of the three forms: Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy.

Alongside Tatsugiri players will also be able to try their hands at acquiring the Paldean starters which will be back on the deliveries list for a limited time. The final news for Pokémon Café Remix fans is the free guaranteed Jigglypuff summer edition once you log into the game for a limited period.

Pokémon Trading Card Game (GBA) & Pokémon Stadium 2 (N64)

Pokémon: Paldean Winds

If you are a fan of Pokémon shows this Pokémon presents certainly did not disappoint. Pokémon: Paldean Winds is a brand new original web series set in Paldea. The show will follow known characters from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet as well as new ones and the show will be available worldwide on the official Pokémon Youtube channel on September 6th.

The Mewtwo raid will also be available for players toward the end of the event period. If captured with a Mew the Mewtwo will have the Mightiest Mark seen on previous raid battle events.

  • Mewtwo Arrives! - September 1st to September 17th

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC - The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

Last but certainly not least Pokémon fans got huge amounts of information regarding the already announced Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC.

On September 13th players will be able to dive into the story of The Teal Mask. The showcase introduced to the fans different characters which will accompany you through your journey in the land of Kitakami, the main two being the brave older sister Carmine and the mysterious younger boy Kieran.

We also got to see some of the new Pokémons available with this DLC such as Dipplin, a new evolution for Applin which will be partnered with Kieran, the Loyal Three composed of Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti, as well as other Pokémon from previous generations.

Ogre Austin, a new minigame was also introduced, by playing it you will be rewarded with different Mochi which can be used to train your Pokémon’s EVs. It is believed this method should be easier than already available ones.

With a still uncertain release date part two of the DLC was also showcased. The Indigo Disk presented the BB League, a new challenge for players to embark on where they’ll face an Elite Four of formidable opponents.

The last two pieces of news for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is the introduction of three new legendary Pokémon: Archaludon (Duraladon’s Paradox form), Raging Bolt (Raikou’s Paradox form), and Iron Crown (Miraidon’s Paradox form) as well as the introduction of Club Rooms which features another layer of player customization through the individual rooms and new ball throw styles.
