The Washington Commanders are heading into 2024 with one of the biggest coaching gets of the 2024 season. The team announced that Dan Quinn, former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator is now going to become head coach.

Quinn has a storied resume that is full of valuable experience, including being a former head coach with the Atlanta Falcons. While Quinn is a more defensive-minded coach, he has the ability to turn the Commanders into a force in the NFC.

"You get Dan Quinn, who's coming from a successful three-year stint as a defensive coordinator for Dallas. That unit has been in the top ten in scoring all three seasons as he's been there. And you could see how Micah Parsons was able to dominate on that defense."

Quinn transformed the defense of the Cowboys into one of the most feared units in the league. He did wonders with Micah Parsons, who was already a force on the defensive line.

Quinn can do the same with Johnathan Allen and Casey Toohill, turning the Commander's defense into something to behold.

While there are reservations from fans about the Quinn hire, he is still a respectable and winning coach. The team may not have landed Mike McDonald from Baltimore or Ben Johnson from Detroit, but he is a great option.

"You hear from Chris, Chester Logan, Paul and countless amounts of players say Dan Quinn is a hell of a guy, great coach, so a good hire in Washington. And he's got to sit back and let this team cook, let them do the things that they have to do. It's going to be an exciting offseason in the DMV."

Quinn commands respect from players, and he has plenty of experience that should couple well with the young and hungry team that the Commanders have.
