Former Chicago Defensive End Wants The Bears To Stick With Fields

The Bears have to stick it out with Justin Fields after showing much improvement toward the end of the season.

On a recent episode of the Bleav in Bears podcast, co-host Corey Wootton expressed his thoughts on the upcoming decision Chicago will have to make at quarterback. The Bears now own the number one overall pick in the 2024 draft, and USC star Caleb Williams has been the projected pick at that spot since winning the Heisman a year ago.

“Hopefully, going forward, the Bears are able to get on the same page offensively. Justin Fields has all the talent in the world,” said Wootton. “I feel like the play caller Luke Getsy, who formerly came from the Packers, has done a bad job of utilizing his strengths.”

It will be debated up until draft day whether or not the Bears should stick with Fields, who has shown signs of improvement in his three years as a starting quarterback. According to BetOnline, the Bears are three-point underdogs to the Packers this weekend in a game that could greatly determine Fields’ future.
