Simms: LaFleur is Finding His Own Again Without Aaron Rodgers

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur continues to shine this season and has more control of the team without Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers are one win away from the playoffs after missing the postseason last year for the first time since 2018. Phil and Matt Simms discussed the new-look Packers in their first year without future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the most recent episode of the Simms Complete podcast.

“(LaFleur) is kind of finding his own voice again as a coach and a leader. Before, it was kind of tip-toing with the GM and Aaron Rodgers and just kind of making sure the ship was going. Now, he is really at the helm, and he is dictating the emotional aspect of this team. I think he is doing a great job of filling that void that wasn’t there before, and he wasn’t allowed to because of Aaron Rodgers.”

Jordan Love has thrown 30 touchdown passes and only 11 interceptions in his first season as the starter in Green Bay. The Packers are three-point favorites over the Bears this weekend, according to BetOnline.
