Monday was a day filled with Golden Gophers entering the NCAA transfer portal. It began with two men's basketball players – Jaden Henley and Treyton Thompson – announcing plans to transfer, and ended with two football players – wide receiver Mike Brown-Stephens and running Trey Potts – entering the portal.

Brown-Stephens, a junior this past season, caught 22 passes for 338 yards. Potts will be a senior next season after finishing the 2022 season with 471 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Potts has been a part of a crowded backfield every year at Minnesota, and next season would've been no different with Sean Tyler transferring to the Gophers from Western Michigan along with Zach Evans expected to carry a heavier load.

The wide receiver room is a lot more crowded with Chris Autman-Bell returning from a season-ending injury, transfers Corey Crooms and Elijah Spencer expected to play big roles, and Daniel Jackson and Dylan Wright back for more.

Brevyn Spann-Ford is returning as one of the most athletic tight ends in the Big Ten.
