Lynx clinch 10th straight playoff appearance
The Minnesota Lynx are headed to the playoffs for the 10th straight season after a loss by the Indiana Fever secured a playoff spot on Tuesday night in Orlando.
The Lynx hold an 11-5 record that's the fourth-best mark in the WNBA this season. With the Fever's loss to the Indiana Fever, the Lynx are headed back to the playoffs and have the talent to make a deep run.
Aside from usual suspects Napheesa Collier (16.4 ppg, 8.8 rpg) and Sylvia Fowles (14.6 ppg, 9.7 rpg), the Lynx have been rejuvenated in the backcourt thanks to second-round selection Crystal Dangerfield.
Dangerfield has had a stellar rookie campaign for the Lynx averaging 15.9 points per game in seven games this season and was named the WNBA's Rookie of the Month for August.
With a playoff spot secured, the Lynx will now try to position themselves in the seeding battle, sitting two games back of the Seattle Storm (13-3) for the best record in the WNBA.
The Lynx have six games remaining on their regular-season schedule and will face the Storm on Sunday. But their next game will come on Wednesday when they face the fifth-seeded Chicago Sky.
