Vikings edge rusher Danielle Hunter is signing with the Texans, NFL.com insiders are reporting.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Hunter's deal with Houston is a two-year, $49 million deal with $48 million guaranteed.

After injury plagued seasons in 2020 and 2021, Hunter has bounced back over the past two season totaling 27 sacks, 44 QB hits and five forced fumbles. In his nine-year career the 29-year-old has 87.5 career sacks, 11th most among active players.

Hunter has spent his entire career in Minnesota after being drafted in the third-round of the 2015 draft.

Minnesota's front office prepared for the eventuality that Hunter would leave by signing pass rushers Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel Monday.
