The Minnesota Lynx are signing former top ten pick Alanna Smith, according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou.

Smith averaged 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blockers per game for the Chicago Sky in 2023. She finished third in voting for the 2023 Most Improved Player award, behind Dallas' Satou Sabally and Vegas' Jordin Canada.

She was the eighth overall pick by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2019 draft. The 6-foot-4 forward played three seasons for the Mercury before joining the Indiana Fever in 2022.

Smith was a two-time All-Pac 12 forward for Stanford. She was named to the 2018-19 Pac-12 All-Defensive team while earning AP All-America second team honors that season.

The Lynx open their season Tuesday, May 14 at the Seattle Storm.
