2024 Minnesota state girls basketball tournament: Day 3 results

We're back for Day 3 of the 2024 Minnesota state girls basketball tournament, with Class A and Class 2A semifinals taking place throughout the day Friday at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. 

Friday's semifinals as well as Saturday's finals can be watched on KSTC Ch. 45 and are available to stream here on their website. The games are also available on the KSTP 5 app, which is accessible on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Google TV, Apple TV and on your smart phone in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

Class A 

No. 1 Goodhue 63, No. 4 Underwood 53

  • Goodhue overcame an 11-point halftime deficit on its way to the semifinal win over Underwood. Elisabeth Gadient poured in 22 points to lead the charge, while Kendyl Lodermeier added 16. Elizabeth Lukken led Underwood with 22 points. Goodhue will advance to the state title game, where it will play Mountain Iron-Buhl at noon on Saturday.

No. 2 Mountain Iron-Buhl 69, No. 3 Buffalo Lake-H-S 50

  • Jordan Zubich poured in 31 points and two others scored in double figures to lead Mountain Iron-Buhl into the state championship game, where it'll take on Goodhue at noon on Saturday. Hali Savela had 13 points and Suzy Aubrey had 11 points. Lily Hubin led Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, which went into the half down by nine points, with 18 points, while Rachel and Kristi Kottke had 13 points apiece. 

Class 2A
