Minnesota United are reportedly set to bring Medina native Caden Clark to the club, according to The Athletic's Tom Bogert.

The talented attacking midfielder joined German side RB Leipzig in 2022 but has struggled to catch on. Before his move to Germany, Clark played in MLS with the New York Red Bulls after MNUFC traded his MLS rights to New York for $75,000 in General Allocation Money.

Clark was eager to play in Europe and the New York Red Bulls had a direct path to Europe through their sister club in Germany. Before joining New York, Clark spent three years at the Barcelona Residency Academy in Arizona and time in the Minnesota Thunder youth setup.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been reported to have been practicing with Minnesota over the past couple weeks. Due to the MLS transfer window already being closed, Clark will join Danish-side Vendsyssel FF on loan until the end of 2023 before his eventual move to Minnesota ahead of the 2024 MLS campaign.

Clark scored 7 goals and 4 assists in 23 starts over three seasons with New York and has been a regular call-up for US youth national teams.
